Exhibitor Presentation Opportunities

ALA offers exhibitors several opportunities to participate in on-site events during the Annual Conference furthering promotional opportunities for your authors and organization. All stages have a $200 fee per time slot; and Book Buzz has a $600 fee per time slot.

Book Buzz Theater – Present the latest “Buzz” about your newest titles and emerging authors.

Chapter One Stage – Featuring panels of new and emerging authors with each presentation focusing on a single genre. Hot topics will also be featured as a jumping-off point for new issues impacting libraries and publishing.

Diversity in Publishing Stage – This stage features diverse authors from any genre and highlights diverse voices across the industry.

Graphic Novel/Gaming Stage – Showcase your emerging and well-known authors and creators of the hottest games and graphic novels. Presentation can include the inspiration behind the story, how games and gaming influence creativity and social interaction, and how comics in the library and in the classroom can help inspire and reach reluctant readers.

The Look of Books Stage – The art, illustration and photography of books and graphic novels

PopTop Stage: Popular Topics, Every Day – The PopTop Stage features favorite book genres, including mystery, humor, romance, technology, and travel with readings, discussions, panels, and presentations. Kick-off each day of the event with an author “Coffee Talk” allowing attendees to grab their own cup o’ joe and enjoy an author presenting their latest book. 

Tech Talk Stage – The place to learn about new technologies making their way into libraries and how technology impacts our work and personal lives. From using new tools to engage with our co-workers and patrons and to deliver service, to learning ways to deal with the benefits and shortcomings of those opportunities.

ThinkFit @ ALA Health & Fitness Stage – In addition to author sessions, this stage will include an instructor led yoga session each morning and meditation/stress relief breaks throughout the day. Sessions can include wellness, instructional, fitness or healthy cookbooks.

  • Stage Session time slots are 50 minutes.
  • Session Title - 200 characters max
  • Session Description - 75 words max
  • Authors / Speakers - we recommend your session hosts more than one author but this is not a requirement, and if you are open to a panel, we can help partner you with a similar sessions should you be selected and are open to a panel discussion.

Sponsor a Keynote Speaker


Names submitted for consideration should be authors or library experts who will be of interest to the ALA members. These names should be able to draw attendance of 1,000+. The exhibitor will bear all costs associated with the speaker’s attendance. Names submitted are sent to an ALA panel for review and recommendations. Professional or motivational speakers on generic topics are usually not considered.

Develop and conduct your own session

Exhibitors may reserve meeting rooms in the ALA block of meeting rooms at the convention center and official hotels. These sessions will be included in the official program, but exhibitors will be responsible for some expenses and should also promote the session on their own.  

You must be a current ALA Annual 2022 exhibitor to participate.

The first round of submissions is currently closed. Submissions will reopen on April 19th.
